Late last night, Myles couldn’t stop talking about how he and a boy in his class were *exactly* the same for Twin Day—same eyes, same hair. He was absolutely adamant that they were identical twins.
So, after the kids went to bed, I drove to Walmart at 9 p.m. to pick up matching outfits for them.
Today, the teacher sent me this picture. My heart melted as I looked at it.
While clearly two very different children, Myles didn’t see that at all. Isn’t it beautiful how pure and inclusive the view of the world can be through the eyes of a 5-year-old? Wouldn’t the world be a better place if we all could see it the way they do?
